What the club says: Flempton Golf Club, established in 1895 is a hidden gem amongst the Suffolk countryside.
Flempton, a heathland course with pine trees and gorse on gently undulating land offers a real challenge to all standards of golfers. Close to the market town of Bury St Edmunds, the club has maintained its ethos and is regarded as one of the finest 9 hole courses in the country. The course, laid out in an unusual 3 loop configeration, and club, which has excellent catering facilities, offer visitors a warm welcome to enjoy a special experience.

The Beauty of 9 holes
A Beautiful traditional old course which at first look feels like you could over power it but the heavy rough and well placed bunkers soon find those out who try to bully the course. An absolute gem of a course with a very traditional feel, smooth running greens, excellent fairways and some really interesting holes make this a must for a visit in Suffolk.Reviewer Rating

This is a wonderful course that will test all levels of golfers. It has wide, generous fairways guarded by bunkers and sloping greens. There is a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the club house.

Played at Flempton today and thought it was in great condition and great fun to play. In fact as a good as any course as you will find at this time of year. The course is challenging although not particularly long with excellent greens that have subtle burrows and gradiants.
The fairways and fringes were consistent and fair and we did not have a single poor lie.
I would recommend a trip to Flempton you will not regret it.
