What the club says: The Chippenham Golf Club, founded in 1896, has gone through many changes in its history, none bigger than the recent opening of 7 new holes and the construction of a new clubhouse. This evolution has made Chippenham a great option for all golfers whether it is membership, visiting golfers or societies. The three newly constructed holes are real feature holes and provide further interest to the layout. This is combined with a very friendly, welcoming and relaxed feel.
The accompanying Clubhouse and practice facilities are first class and add to the experience.
Wiltshire’s best kept secret is a secret no more.

worth a visit
was on the winter course so some holes a bit shorter par 70 rather than 71, but in good condition, greens very slick and tricky, which was surprising given the time of year,Reviewer Rating

not at its best
It ticked a lot of the what we dislike boxes today....booked on line as i usually do, but not sure i will do that again as no option to use county card and also no info to say half the course is off mats, most of the greens have recently been tined and sanded and the very nice index 3 par 4 17th is a temporary par 3 !!!

Played it on a reciprocal deal and was very impressed course was in excellent condition pace of play was great and the staff were all very welcoming. Good selection of beers too!

Well maintained and challenging course
Working away for a few weeks, and to my excitement looking at the location of the Premier inn to which I'm staying to discover chippenham golf course situated behind the hotel. So of course had to get booked in for a few evening rounds. Fast greens, challenging to read but enjoyed testing my abilities. Only thing to disappoint my experience was that I was playing on my own which allowed me to catch groups, to a member infront saying to me "I would let you pass but its busy". The next group was over a hole ahead of them. They let me pass on the 16th :/.Reviewer Rating

9 of us played here on a stop over before celtic manor\And apart from the down poor mid round found Chippenham a fantastic set up greens were fast and true \Lay out was was great and it suited all abilities \Can\'t wait to return

Very enjoyable
Despite very heavy rain over the last 2 weeks, the course was in good condition. No complaints about the greens - very fair and true. Nice course! Thank you.(Round played: Oct 2019 - Score: 89 Handicap: 15.9)

Worth Playing
Good course, interesting holes, enjoyed my round and I would play again. Strange that on many holes the red tees are behind the yellow but that is compensdated by the relevant SSS.(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 98 Handicap: 18.8)

Driving range i had to go get my own balls which posed a little health and Risk issue , as a first timer , the directions to the next holes could be bettered to not cause confusion

Great club golf

Chippenham
