What the club says: Working with the natural beauty of majestic rolling parkland, with a wealth of mature trees and lakes, Thomas' brief was to create a course to be enjoyed by all who wished to play. With a range of tees on every hole, the higher handicapped golfer is not overwhelmed by too difficult a course, yet from the back tees in events which include the European Challenge Tour Championships, even the greatest from the professional ranks find this stunning course a challenging test of their skills.

Excellent condition unless wet
Have played three times. Tough course but really enjoyable and amazing condition. One round was very boggy (spring), don't think the course drains well so play in summer.Reviewer Rating

Course is in excellent condition, but beware of straying from the fairway into the often deep rough!
Greens are in fantastic condition and can offer some real challenging putts.

The conditions of the course were excellent and the hospitality of the staff was outstanding. The hole design was varied and larger and more difficult than my normal courses, which added a challenge. The practice facilities were great and the course was challenging yet well kept. The combined golf with an overnight stay was a great experience - the staff were fantastic, the food was first class, and the course was in perfect condition. The design was well thought out and challenging. All in all, an excellent course and fabulous accommodation.

Combined golf with an overnight stay. Staff were fantastic and the food first class Then add a testing course in great condition.

Great Test of Golf
Playing in high summer you know that entering the rough is a 'no no' but it's going to happen to mid and high handicappers here because even off the yellow tees you need all that's in your bag. You will also appreciate the deep yet immaculate bunkers punishing all but the truest approach shots. Having played this course back in the 1990's it is wonderful to see how it has matured and in the sunshine it shows off the Wiltshire countryside at its best. Take a few extra balls and if you don't get too upset when you lose them you will have a great day. Pro shop, food and general facilities just ooze class as well.Reviewer Rating

Good Challenge
Played here before and the course is a really good challenge. Bunkers protect all the greens so bring your sand game. Accurate driving will bring its rewards but you still have some undulating greens to negotiate.Only criticism was there were some old divots that could do with being filled in.

Really good challenge
A course offering something for all handicapsGood layout with some clever bunkering inviting you to go for it when a layup is a good option. Like all good courses bring your A game. Really enjoyed playing here.

Beautiful Bowwod
Stunning track in excellent condition. Good test of golf. Rough was up when we played as the English pga was due to be played there. Greens very true. Had food afterwards and it was top notch.Reviewer Rating
