Best Regional Open Qualifying Venues on Golfshake

Every golfer dreams of playing in The Open. With golf's oldest major returning to Royal Portrush for the first time in nearly 70 years, there is additional intrigue behind this, the 148th playing of the game's original championship. The majority of the field in Northern Ireland qualfiy by exemptions, whether it be as former winners or from the Official World Golf Ranking, but for those golfers who may not be playing on tour, Regional Qualifying is the first step on that journey.
Over 1,000 club professionals, amateurs and lower ranking tour pros gathered across 13 venues, all with a handicap of scratch or better, in the hope of making it through to Final Qualifying. Even former World Snooker champions turned up for a chance of walking in the footsteps of history. It's a tough and competitive path, but there is a route. Playing in Regional Qualifying is a potential opportunity of a lifetime, but it's also the chance to play on some revered courses.
