Galvin Green Pushes Technology in 2017 Collection

Galvin Green's Part 1 Collection for 2017 is available soon, and the brand has pushed ahead with revolutionary technologies and striking designs to ensure that its latest multi-layer apparel range is an eye-catching one.

The leading premium technical performance brand has created a comprehensive collection of ultra-lightweight, compatible clothing that incorporates original fabrics entirely new to the golfing world across four different layers - one of which was validated by Europe’s best players at The 2016 Ryder Cup.

In a collection that contains more than 100 garments and accessories, there are 25 brand new lines in the men’s range, 28 in the ladies’ collection, plus an enlarged junior offering that includes a VENTIL8™ golf shirt for the first time. Colours include Deep Ocean blue and Apple, plus the return of Navy.

Marking a 15-year association with the unrivalled GORE-TEX® waterproof membrane, Galvin Green has added a revolutionary Japanese-made C-KNIT™ backer to form three-layer stretch fabric jackets and trousers that can ’slide & glide’ over garments underneath. Despite the extra layer, the jackets are lighter than two-layer lined GORE-TEX® options.

The new ARGON full-zip jacket with C-KNIT™ backer provides greater comfort than any other durable waterproof garment on the market and features a high collar and zipped cuffs in a rubber-like neoprene material designed to repel steady rain. Colour options are Deep Ocean blue/Black /White; Black/Iron grey/Apple; & Iron grey/Black/White in sizes S-3XL.

The C-KNIT™ backer material with super-smooth hand feel is also incorporated into a half-zip waterproof jacket with adjustable waist and chest tabs, the ALDRIN, that comes in four-colour combinations in the same sizes - Iron grey/Black/Deep Ocean/White, Black/Iron grey/Black/White & Apple/Iron grey/Black/White.

Matching these top quality jackets are the ARN trousers that also include C-KNIT™ backer material with GORE-TEX® stretch fabric; plus, elasticated waist with drawstring at the back; zip fly opening; and zipped front and covered back pockets. For easier dressing, they feature long leg openings zipped with water-repellent zips at the back rather than the sides and come in 23 size options.

“The amazingly smooth texture of the C-KNIT™ jackets and trousers are the result of five years of testing different fabric combinations to avoid the kind of rainwear that proves stiff, heavy, noisy or snags on other clothing,” said Creative Director Mats Lundqvist. “As European Ryder Cup players and staff who were the first to wear them reported after rounds at Hazeltine, there’s no protective golf clothing quite like them,” he added.

Shell layer GORE®WINDSTOPPER®

Another extraordinary garment in the latest collection is the BOW half-zip jacket in a new GORE® WINDSTOPPER® fabric that is virtually weightless at 107gms, or the equivalent weight of just two golf balls. Reassuringly windproof, water repellent and extremely breathable, it comes in three colours, including Deep Ocean and sizes S-3XL.

Warm layer INSULA™ Lite

No Galvin Green product line has experienced a more dramatic climb in popularity in recent times than the INSULA™ pullover offering thermal regulation. Now there is a new lightweight INSULA™ Lite fabric that is 15% lighter than the previous version, while retaining a super-smooth texture and outstanding breathability.

Cool layer VENTIL8™ Plus

The Official Supplier of Weatherwear to Europe’s 2018 Ryder Cup team in Paris has also extended the level of breathability and moisture wicking properties of its exclusive VENTIL8™ range of premium golf shirts, featuring body-mapping technology and UV protection 20+. There are three new shirt lines and trousers and shorts in the new fabric, as well as the regular VENTIL8™ short sleeve shirts as well as the return of the elegant long sleeve MORRIS in Black and White.

Ladies Collection

The C-KNIT™ backer fabric with super-smooth hand feel also features in the new premium GORE-TEX® waterproof full-zip jacket (ALYSSA) and trousers (AISHA) in Navy & Nectarine trim on the zip, pockets and arms (XS-XL). The ultra-lightweight Paclite® range includes the ADRIANA full-zip jacket and ASTRID waterproof trousers in four matching colours; new GORE®WINDSTOPPER® garments in BRIONY and BESS; INSULA™ Lite DANIELLE pullovers (DANIELLE)  and jackets (DAPHNE), plus MAVIS shirts in moisture-wicking VENTIL8™ Plus that also provides UV 20+ protection.
