Driver Drill - Learn to 'launch it' for longer drives
By using this very simple drill from Phil Akers, a senior teaching professional at the Belfry, you will be encouraged to hit up on the golf ball off the tee, producing much better results in carry distance and accuracy.
Phil's simple drill utlises a cane dug into the ground, pointing diagonally upwards towards to the target, along with three golf balls placed after the golf ball which is sat on the tee. The idea behind the drill is too correct the fault of driving down into the golf ball at a steep angle of attack. It encourages a club path into the ball which more positive and driving upwards.
By inspiring a better motion into the ball it will cause you to naturally get into a better impact position when hitting your driver on the golf course.
