Strike Your Irons Better Get Longer, Straighter, More Consistent
As we continue to get ready for the 2025 golf season, honing one's skills on the course becomes a greater priority. To aid with this, Golfshake's Gear Expert and PGA Professional, Ryan Rastall, offers a series of straightforward tips designed to enhance your iron play and overall game.
This is the second in a series of videos filmed at Quinta do Lago in the Algarve and Ryan talks through three simple golf tips that can benefit all golfers - from beginners to those looking to break 100 or 90. The tips focus on improving your iron play, striking the ball better, getting more consistent and ultimately playing better golf.
The first tip in the video focuses in improving your control and strike, aiming to stop anyone flipping the club and casting and improviing wing path. The second tip is centered on improving your iron shots by striking down on the ball, shifting your weight forward, and focusing on better contact and hitting ball before the divot. This approach aims to eliminate common issues like slicing, topping, fat, and thin shots. The final tip focuses on boosting your club head speed, increasing lag, and improving wrist hinge and overall club release, which are essential for achieving greater distance and control in your game.
