Great fun
Have never used my 58 degree wedge so often in a round of golf to get onto greens. And it wasn't out of bunkers, because there is not a single bunker on the course. I remember only one flat shot off a level lie in the round - uphill, downhill, sidehill. So much precise short range play is required - often a very short pitch/chip onto a tiny green. Course in early August 2019 is in fabulous condition, both fairways and greens. Bought the course guide and it was very useful. Fantastic, inspiring views. Very friendly folk. Recommended.Reviewer Rating

Lung bustingly good
Take a cylinder of oxygen when you visit Whiting Bay, and you must play this course in the clouds. Fabulous views of Holy Isle and some challenging holes.Staff very welcoming and keen to know what you thought of their course. Top course. All seven courses on the Isle of Arran are a must for golfers who want a fantastic variety of holes in one place.Reviewer Rating

An Enjoyable Test of Golf
An interesting mainly hilltop course, which is a golf test of golf - especially your short game. A magnificent setting on a clear day. A warm welcome awaits you too!Reviewer Rating

(Round played: Jun 2016 - Score: 88 Handicap: 16.6) Great scenery at the bottom end of the Isle of Arran. Well worth a visit for golfers of all abilities. Don't be put off by the hill at the1st, it flattens out after that.

Played several time, it's a lovely wee course, not too challenging but can be difficult if you miss the fairways or greens in regulation. Spectacular views and always I. Good condition considering there is only 1 full time and 1 apprentice green keeper.

Its not a championship type course, nor does it try to be, but it is a short course, suitable for all the family, yet it is no push over from the medal tees.
Stand out holes are the 4th, 8th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th and 18th. All of which offer a fiar degree of difficult and would not be out of place or more famous courses.
The course is always in great condition, escpecially when there is only 1 full time greenkeeper and an apprentice doing all the work.
Like some of the other courses on Arran it offers great fun at a resonable price, try it on a summers day with the views across to Ayrshire and as far north as Ben Lomond, you will not be disspointed.
