What the club says: Lamlash Golf Course is a pleasing Par 64 - 18 hole, golf course. Although quite short in distance, measuring at some 4510 yards, it offers a serious challenge for golfers of all abilities. An example of the challenge set can be seen in the fact that it has many long Par 3's, including two measuring over 220 yds. In addition to these lengthy Par 3's, Lamlash offers tricky Par 4 holes where an off-centre tee shot will more than likely never be seen again

Short, Hilly & Gorgeous
Not a long course, but in those 4000 yards are some of the prettiest holes you're likely to play anywhere. This is especially true of the holes heading back towards the town and the backdrop of Holy Isle. This isn't a flat course however, and I was warned that I should consider a buggie. It certainly is worth thinking about if you have issues with climbing, as there aren't many holes that don't appear to be either very uphill or downhill.
There are 11 par 3's, 7 par 4's (from the yellows), and only a couple of holes over 300 yards. The greens all seemed to be raised, so bring your chipping A game if you're not hitting the green (I didn't).
I simply loved this course.

Lamlash best course we’ve played this week. Front 9, tough for high handicappers but great education to Scottish courses. Plenty of couse management to learn. Greens in great condition, some testing. Plays long for yardage, very friendly reception at the club shop with advice and humour. Enjoyed that much we played it twice in the day. Will be back with our Arran Golf passes next year.Reviewer Rating

You must play Lamlash
This course goes up and down like a rollercoaster. The holes are varied and challenge. The staff are welcoming and interested to know what you think of their course. A pint on the veranda overlooking the last green was most welcome. All the courses on the Isle of Arran are well worth a visit. Lamlash I a must.Reviewer Rating

(Round played: Jun 2016 - Score: 85 Handicap: 16.6) fantastic well maintained and challenging course. Many blind holes which adds to the challenge, especially if it's your first time playing it.
