Interesting round

Played last week, good value at £21 for seniors greens slow and one or two patchy, fairways grassier than home club so little run ,a long hitters course. Friendly greeting and selection of cold rolls, bottled beer in clubhouse. Worth a visit and no hills so easy walking.

The course is a good test for either high or medium handy cappers some parr 3 are long the condition of the course is excellent all year round. The club house is now a gym however you still have a sitting area both inside and out side and can get a fresh rolls well worth the money with a discount for the over 65's

Nice course not looked after

A nice course for a public pay and play but really not looked after. The tees, fairways and rough were all far too long with their respective grass lengths. The greens played ok and were in much better condition than the rest of the course. It was wet but in my opinion the course was unplayable and should have been closed. Not a lot of maintenance could be seen. They have spent some money on improving the clubhouse facilities and practice areas but other than that not a good visit. Needs a kitchen and staff to run it with some options of hot food although the cold rolls were very nice as was the coffee. Overall disappointed with the day.

No matter what the weather is like, the course is always in great condition. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only downside is that there's no hot food available, so no bacon rolls. However, you can still get coffee and bottled beer, and cold rolls like ham and cheese. As far as the golf goes, it's well worth a visit especially at £18 a round.

This course is great value for money and a fair challenge. Errant shots can be recovered from. Course is lovely as the eye travels far and geese and trees fill each view. The elevated 16th par 3 is a great challenge.

Poor greens and tees

Phoned the Six hills and booked to play the following day. Turned up to find the greens had been hollow tined and sanded so not worth even trying to putt on them. With the holes less than three foot from the fringe. We were very surprised and disappointed that Six Hills didnt make us aware of the quality of the greens when we rang to book.

The course itself was well tended, but with some unusual holes, but not in a good way..

Many of the tee boxes are not flat so not great to play off.

Quick round (ish)

I didn't book here before playing, just turned up on a Thursday mid morning. The lady on the shop told me I could go off as soon as I was ready. The down side to playing alone is that a 4ball and 3ball, who were together

Too much goose crap all over the course, especially fairways and greens. Greens quite spongy.

Value for money

Great value on twilight rounds. The course is simple and some holes are a bit unchallenging but the greens are always in good nick and the staff are great.
