Super course which will challenge your short game
Reaad my full review online via: https://glfs.hk/3MZErNDThe Course offers a varied and unique golf experience, providing stunning views from different elevated tees around the course, with par 3s, par 4s and par 5s and resources such as artificial all-weather turf cart paths for all year round playability. The fairways occasionally dogleg right and left, lined with trees and bunkers and with hilly contours and tall mounds that may collect any wayward tee shots. The greens are stunningly maintained with a consistently firm surface, perfect for putting.
Rushcliffe is a must. While other famous courses may cost up to £100 for a round, Rushcliffe offers not only fantastic value for money but a challenging, fun, and picturesque game. Make sure to clean the grooves of your wedges before you come, though - you'll be tested with a short game!

Lived up to its reputation
Having only ever played here, once before, I only managed to play 10 holes as we got clerks and off the course due to severe weather. So I was mightily looking forward to it, but the weather wasn't playing in our favour. Saturdays overnight downpour led us to believe that we were in for more weather pain on Sunday when we were due to tee off. We were blessed by the weather gods who even bought us some sunshine (first time this year I've played in trousers) the autumnal, sunshine and colours of the trees made it an exquisite Course on the eye, it's also transpired to be the conditions of the course having had a lot of rain overnight. I could easily say the greens were the best greens I've played on all year considering how wet they felt underfoot. An absolute belter of a course, and I'm pleased to say that it is easily a true hidden gem of the East Midlands.

Scenic but tough
With the clubhouse perched on a hill, The view down over the course and beyond is lovely, which is a really great intro to the course. The putting green was also a credit to the course, being about the best putting surface I can recall seeing, or putting on; it did however lull me into a sense of false security, until I got to the first green, where I 4 putted - the greens out on course seemed quite a bit faster than the practice area, and the pins had been positioned for a club comp - which made for a real test; When we compared notes afterwards, I found that many of my colleagues had also 4 putted or worse. To be clear, the greens were of high quality, just aBit too tough on the day for most of us ! Overall, I enjoyed the course, the 3 par 5s excepted; they just seemed like a slog. With 5 par 3s and a number of short par 4s there are plenty of opportunities to build a reasonable score. I?d like to return and have another go, in slightly more benign conditions!

Fantastic course worth visiting
Truly a fantastic course worth visiting. Very hilly and a good walk and climb around the 18 holes but you get a stunning game on a stunning course with stunning views. Very well kept course, obviously most of the facilities closed at the moment but didn't interrupt or distract from a cracking visit. Excellent "tuck shop" after the 11th hole and very welcomed in the blistering heat of our chosen date. Loved every minute of it and a great test of your game, very picturesque holes.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 92 Handicap: 18.3)

Great variation in holes
Lovely course, friendly pro shop (who kindly gave us a free course guide). The weather has been perfect and the green and fairways were lush.
There’s a fantastic variation of holes here, lots of elevated tees. The par 3s were some of the more interesting and varied I have played. The greens were very fast and the greenskeeper has many challenging pun positions. More unusual to have no outward par 5s but it didn’t hugely matter. 18th hole doesn’t really do the course justice but overalL a great course.
