What the club says: Shooter's Hill GC is an attractive parkland course situated close to Blackheath, with superb views across the North Kent countryside. The course is a challenging but fair test of golf, good shot selection is critical for a good score.

Tight and damp but a nice course
Started well enough but Par 3's were my downfall. 8+ for 5 holes including a 6 on the 10th. Course lulled you into false sense of security but to be honest is was the odd wayward shot that cost me dearly. Chipping wasn't brilliant and putting was OK. Nice course. Would like to play again. Could be interesting in the summer as a lot of fairways slope from left to right and a lot of up hill approaches. A short course but plenty of variation in elevation.Reviewer Rating

Challenging course in a good condition
We played with a member at ?35 each, a fair price and no booking option, so be careful re comps etc.The course is very challenging with lots to think about, great if you have a member in your 4 ball and it was in a good condition considering the rainfall recently. The club shop, food and drink are all good too.

Always a good challenge
Overall the course played well, despite the recent constant rain, some areas are still rather wet and there is a temporary on the 13th whilst the green replacement is finished. most greens were quick and true a few slightly damp underfootReviewer Rating

A day on the Hill
A challenging course if not long. On the day I found the course in good condition considering that there had been rain all the previous day, it was very soft in places but if you were on the fairway it was very playable off the fairways because of the rain the light and heavier rough were a challenge to exit.Reviewer Rating

much better
The challenge of this course is that you almost always have a sloping lie. its only ~5700 yards from the white tees but dont let that fool you - its more difficult than most ~6500 yard courses. You only need driver for 2 or 3 holes, no margin for error on most.Reviewer Rating

Very challenging nice course
Good price if a guest and friendly welcome from Dave in the pro shop and Nicky behind the bar. No booking required and wasn't busy on a Wednesday afternoon. Course was in a great condition with good signage. Some holes very challenging and the greens were hard to read or stay on for me!Reviewer Rating

The unfriendly golf course
Pro shop could really do with going on a customer service course, or maybe they just don’t like visitors. Shame because the course is v challenging, good greens. Still too expensive at weekends, much better deals available elsewhere, no twilight rates.Reviewer Rating

The hills are alive
The name is a giveaway - brutal hills to walk up & down so you’ll probably want a buggy. Makes golf more difficult for sure on all the sloping lies. Greens possibly over-watered - I had a PW shot on par 3 literally stick/ embed itself in the green (no bounce). £60 / round for visitors and no twilight rates available it’s pretty expensiveReviewer Rating
