What the club says: The challenging 2x9-hole, 5,772 yards, par-70 parkland course at Ryde Golf Club is a delight to play. Golfers of all ages and levels of experience will find inspiration, relaxation and great satisfaction.

Well kept, pacy greens and some tricky par-3s characterise this entertaining course, which provides a real challenge for golfers at all ability levels – especially in windy conditions.

Nice and Friendly

Enjoyable course and good condition for November.
Just a note, to get to Hole 2, go through the gate on the right. This is not signposted.
Great value for money.

What a Dump

Booked into play this course last week, I have to say this is the worse course I have ever played. The greens were no better than a pitch and putt course in my local area. Fairways were poor, Tees boxes were not mown, was told by a member that a course in Sandown was better as this one had gone down hill. KEEP KEEP AWAY.....other reviews must have been made by management

Nice course - greens a bit wet

The course was nice and challenging as the fairways are tight. The greens were a bit wet though they might have just been watered

Poor condition for time of year

Expect the greens to be spiked this time of year, however a couple of the greens in very poor condition. The fairways were poor with limited grass, also the conditions around the greens also left a lot to be desired with inconsistent grass lengths and clumps. The layout is tight with one tee across the preceding green.

Friendly and welcoming

Most clubs that advertise as 'non-members welcome' are lying, but Ryde was genuine in its claim. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The course is a real challenge with every hole presenting a different aspect and every shot requiring full concentration. Highly enjoyable.

Ryde golf club well worth a try

Very welcoming club, members very friendly and helpful. Course fairly damp in places but very playable. Greens had just been airrated which made them a little uneven . Have said that a well presented course and a pleasure to play. There a couple of fairly steep climbs which take a little doing. Good club house facilities.
