What the club says: Braes Golf Club is locally regarded as a tight, tricky parkland style course which puts an emphasis on accuracy over length. Although only a nine hole course the Club has invested in building second tees on most holes which serves to alter the distance of the hole or the angle of the drive on your second loop. Nowhere is this difference highlighted better than the first/tenth. The first hole being a 136 yard short iron into the green, the tenth being a 220 yard fairway wood

The course was moved from Polmont to the present location in Maddiston near Falkirk in 1975/1976 and measures 6092 yards, SSS 70, Par 72 from the white tees.

Bit off a dump

Don't know how it is still open.
Too expensive for conditions of course and not very well looked after.
Clubhouse always closed ,think new owner running it down to build houses.

Course was in OK condition and enjoyed the round on a nice day. £12.50 for a visitor was probably average. The course itself was in Ok condition and should get better as the summer comes in.

Angus from Edinburgh was very unfortunate as our greenkeeper had been off ill for 3 seeks and we were struggling. The course had been excellent over the summer months - our vistor numbers have been above average - and if Angus wants to return he can have a free round to compensate for his disapointment.

Maybe I was expecting too much from a course that only charges £10 a round, which on face value seems very cheap but when we walked down the first towards the green not able to distinguish fairway from rough it quickly became apparent why. there is little if any difference between rough and fairway on this course and after just three holes we decided to cut our loses and go elsewhere. no attention to detail here with old rusty peices of grass cutting machinery just lying around it was not a golfing venue that I we will be making a return too. A shame really because the lady in the clubhouse seemed very nice and helpfull but the extremely poor condition of the course lets it down big style.

This is an enjoyable little course. Although only a 9 holer, each of the holes have two tees, which serves to alter the length of the hole and angle that you drive, making it play like an 18 hole course. The course is short and tricky, your drives need to be accurate, and the greens are well kept and small.
The price of a round is dirt cheap at only £10, although some cash could be spent on the clubhouse. However the friendlyness of the other golfers made up for it.
All in all, a really nice course i will return to.

This is a little gem of a course and the warm welcome you receive is a credit to the club, price wise for a round of golf is excellant and there are some interesting and testing holes.
