What the club says: The West Lothian Golf Club, founded in 1892, is frequently described consistently as having ‘the best golf course in the area’ and we are immensely proud of the recognition it receives from our members and guests alike.

Originally laid out by Willie Park Jnr as a nine hole facility the course was completely redesigned by Fraser Middleton over an area of 148 acres. The new course was opened in 1979 and comprises 18 testing holes of golf which, with the skills of our Course Development Team, ensures our members and guests are never without a wee change to keep them keen.

A challenging 6249 yards long and with a Par of 71 our course demands a thoughtful approach from the tee and a variety of hazards require your full focus throughout your round.

Interesting layout

Lovely changing layout, friendly welcome and great pro shop staff. Greens were in excellent condition. The clubhouse & pro-shop staff couldn't have been more welcoming. Our group had a great day out.

Very good

Very good course. Can be challenging in windy weather like today. Good layout and can be hilly in places. But overall the course is in very good condition.

Great course - even better views

Great quality course with some unbelievable views of the Forth Bridges and up to Stirling Castle and the Trossachs.

I played on the Kinglass ?Winter course? which is shorter than the main course - but with the winds and weather that is no bad thing.

Course overall in very good condition and well worth a visit.

Great as always

Always enjoy this course. In my opinion it's the best course in the central belt for views, layout and overall variety. Greens were in great condition and fairways, bunkers and tees all similar.

West Lothian GC is superb. Make sure you play it. Super fairways, greens great, rough quite tough. Real challenge for 20 handicapper but I have played here 4 times this year and never been disappointed with course or clubhouse.
