Poor

My friends and I are local golfers, however haven\'t played this course for 20 years. I convinced them to play it as I remember it being a good challenge.\Phoned last week, booked a time and quoted £20.\Arrived at 840am, pro shop not even open. Started and found the fairways to be in very poor condition, grass very long and untidy, rough very thick and if you found your ball, was almost impossible to play it, bunkers had no sand and were really hard and compact and to cap it all, the greens had just been fed with little black pellets that stuck to your ball and made them very slow. None of this information was passed to us before we played.\Lastly, being honest, we went to the pro shop after the round to pay and the member of staff charged us £25, stating it was bank holiday rates!!! We informed him that we had been quoted £20 (by him) but he refused to drop the fee to the price quoted.\All in all, a very disappointing experience.

Course in very good condition with good bunkering making you think about tee-shots and approaches. Greens in excellent condition, quick and true. Fairly generous fairways but wayward hitting will be punished. Never been in the clubhouse but pro in the shop very friendly and course is excellent value on 2-for-1 deals on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Vast improvement to course & the new Pro shop. The shop has everything you need, could not believe the range of JL clothing!! Staff are great to talk to, great knowledge of equipment.
Clubhouse a little antiquated however very friendly, good meal.
Great course, veiw on the seventh tee looking throught the water to all the pot bunkers was initimidating but worthwhile. ROUGH IS TORTURE!!!!

Good layout not one better in area, greens very soft after heavy rain. Mixture of rivetted faced & parkland bunkers. Being a mid handicapper I lost a few balls in the deep rough, far too severe for a typical muni course.
