What the club says: With undulating terrain across rolling countryside, the course at Mapperley provides a challenging but rewarding round. With mature trees thrown in as well, accuracy is the key to score well on this course. The long par 5 12th is one of the toughest with a sharp dog leg left, it tests both your accuracy and length of drive. The 13th again is a tricky one with a stream crossing the fairway and a well protected green. It is certainly not one for the faint hearted.

Friendly welcome from the pro who accommodated an early start. Great bacon buttie and coffee before the round. Course in excellent condition, certainly the best fairways we have come across this season. Greens running fairly quick with subtle undulations. A hilly layout, lots of interesting holes framed with amazing trees and great views of the surrounding area. Very relaxed in the clubhouse afterwards. A special mention to Laura and her male colleague (sorry I don't know your name) who kept us entertained!Reviewer Rating

Great city course
Great city course but sadly like anywhere without the rain it is very hard and dry. Means certain drives run out past the 300yd mark which is great but with the uneven nature of the fairways it is difficult to stop the ball rolling from the high side down to the bottom and sometimes off the fairway altogether!Reviewer Rating

Challenging
It's a very well kept course, fairways are green and lush, greens are very well kept, true and quick , if u don't hills this isn't the course for you, it makes u think and is very challenging.Reviewer Rating

Hilly but great fun
One to test the ankles and calf?s but well worth the effort.Tests your skills with some challenging lies (feet above or below ball).
Exceptional views and greens were in great condition.

Friendly welcome
Played twice since lockdown restrictions lifted, as a visitor. Very welcoming and how golf courses will survive (please take note those courses 'closed' to all visitors. Course in great condition, as tough as ever!Reviewer Rating

Shocking course staff were very rude and green staff never wait I was waiting on the tee for 15 mins while he cut the fairway

Certainly a challenge!No flat lies the ball ie often above or below your feet.
The course and greens were excellent. The greens need a good read to get the right line for a good putt.

Little gem
Very hilly course, fairways slope a lot, greens very good. Drives need to be very straight, cause trees line the fairways as well. Well maintained course,friendly staff.Reviewer Rating

Hilly and challenging
Excellent breakfast to start. Greens in great condition for time of year. Friendly welcome. Disappointed we hadn't been warned that 11th was closed and a short par 3 incerted after 12, but found our way around it. Enjoyed the day, legs ached next day, though. Will comeback.(Round played: Mar 2019 - Score: 97 Handicap: 17.2)

Lovely Course
Have often thought about playing here and now I have done it I am not disappointed in any way. The course is exceptionally well maintained, a real challenge and most certainly a pleasure to play. The layout is superb and really is a test for any golfer. The staff were very friendly and helpful and club shop really good. I cannot wait to play here again...excellent for the excercise as a very hilly course which makes this such a great course to play...highly recommend!Reviewer Rating

My golf
It was my brothers birthday so paid for him. Course was in great condition. We started on back nine has it was busy on front.The greens were very fast to start with due to them being a bit frozen early on..
I would deffo play it again no problem staff were great drinks were very reasonable for the price.
