Mizuno to showcase new irons and wedges at Irish Golf Expo
Mizuno have announced their attendance at the second Irish Golf Expo this November, bringing the #channelback design of its latest MP-5 irons, the #boronfuelled technology of the new MP-25 irons and the #bluemagic of its stunning new S5 wedges in front of thousands of Irish golf fans.
Mizuno, founded in Osaka, Japan, in 1906, has long held an enviable industry- and tour-wide reputation for crafting both the finest forged irons and the most versatile wedges on the market – clubs that offer the ultimate blend of looks, feel, workability and control. For many years, Mizuno’s highly acclaimed MP Series irons have been the club of choice for many of the world’s greatest players, and the best players at club level too.
Autumn 2015 has seen three exciting product launches from golf’s most sought-after iron brand – the MP-5 iron, the MP-25 iron and the S5 wedge. Eager to spread the word about these stunning clubs, Mizuno has committed to bringing these eagerly anticipated newcomers in front of a wide audience of Irish golf fans at the second Irish Golf Expo following the event’s successful debut in 2014.
This year’s Irish Golf Expo will take place from November 28-29 at THE EIKON Exhibition Centre, Balmoral Park, Lisburn City, just off the M1 and only 14 miles from the centre of Belfast. It is also within 30 minutes of both of the city’s main airports. Following the success of last year’s event, it is anticipated that over 10,000 attendees will visit Ireland’s largest golf exhibition, with Mizuno seizing the chance to showcase both its latest launches and the entire range. Mizuno will be offering visitors the chance to try out its latest clubs in the Mizuno bays on the Expo’s range, or even enjoy a personal fitting session with an experienced Mizuno club technician.
The new MP-25 irons build on the huge success of the JPX 850 Forged, bringing the proven ball speed advantages of #boronfuelled technology to Mizuno’s MP line-up for the first time. The groundbreaking new MP-5 is then neither blade nor cavity, but rather a revolutionary #channelback, a forged iron like no other that retains sufficient thickness behind the central impact point to deliver the blade-like feel better players crave on pure strikes, while allowing enough clubhead mass to be relocated to parts of the head where it can tangibly increase clubhead stability and performance on off-centre strikes.
The stunning new S5 wedges, which immediately found their way into the bag of former World No.1, Luke Donald, boast an enticing midsize profile, with sharply visible and highly versatile sole grinds, expressly designed to fuel the golfer’s imagination and creativity around the greens and keep all options open however the ball is lying. The gorgeous Blue IP finish promises to add a little #bluemagic to any golfer’s wedge play.
