Soren Kjeldsen wins with Srixon & Cleveland
Soren Kjeldsen has proved that life begins at 40 by winning a tense three-way play-off for the Irish Open title. the tournament was played at the stunning Royal County Down golf course.
The Dane, who uses Cleveland Golf RTX 2.0 wedges and Srixon XV ball, beat England's Eddie Pepperell and Austrian Bernd Wiesberger at the first extra hole to seal his place at this year’s Open Championship.
Kjeldsen, who had not won on the European Tour for six years, celebrated his 40th birthday just a fortnight ago and said: “I’m really grateful to everyone at Srixon & Cleveland Golf for supporting me through the last few years. It’s been tough at times but they’ve been really helpful and it’s great to be able to pay them back with this win. Hopefully, it’s the start of good things to come.”
The Kjeldsen win comes at the start of the Cleveland Golf 588 RTX 2.0 promotion, which enables anyone who purchases one of the new 588 RTX 2.0 wedges to buy a second wedge at 50% off, helping golfers fill the gaps at the lower end of their bags.
