FootJoy introduce the ICON Black

FootJoy has unveiled the most opulent shoe in its history in ICON Black.

An extension of the legendary FJ ICON, the introduction takes luxury to an all-new level for FootJoy. Featuring previously unseen technologies and design characteristics, FootJoy believe that tthe ICON Black will appeal to golfers seeking ultimate performance coupled with classically-refined style.

Inspired by feedback from FJ Brand Ambassadors on both PGA and European Tours, ICON Black reflects FJ’s ‘Look great, play great’ attitude, making it the perfect footwear choice for the golf calendar’s most important occasions.

As the direct successor to ICON, which will now be available only through the MyJoys customisation programme, the launch of ICON Black signifies a bold step for the brand, but one FJ Marketing Manager Russell Lawes is confident will be met with strong approval from golfers seeking the very best in shoe construction and style.

ICON Black will be available from 80 carefully selected FJ retailers across the UK from February 2015 at an RRP of £300.

ICON Black Outsole – Has a stacked leather look in the heel and features TPU, PU and genuine leather inserts to enhance both traction and style.

Premium Leather Upper – The finest calfskin has been used throughout the upper, producing luxurious looks and feel while also delivering exceptional waterproof protection.

Leather-lined Insole – The insole is fully leather-lined and shaped from a new last, which creates the ultimate in-shoe comfort and fit, with strategically-placed areas of additional cushioning.

Fast-Twist Cleat System – Enabled by Golf Pulsar Cleats from Softspikes, changing spikes is easier than ever. The 16-component design reacts to all angles of force exerted by the golfer, offering unmatched stability.

Signature Design Details – Completed by an aesthetic heel accessory, comfortable cork fit-beds and metal aglets.

Style options – ICON Black is available in two styles. The T-Toe Dress design comes in Black/Black Patent and Tan/Cappuccino Patent, while the Split Toe Saddle can be purchased in White/Ivory and White/Black.
