Liven Up Your Golf Days with GolfScore Live

LivePlay Golf Ltd have announced the release of GolfScore Live which provides live scoring for use in professional and amateur golf competitions via a smartphone app along with their website which provides access to live game day leader boards.

The company formed after the Directors Christopher Cade & Steven Bratt met through their shared interest in golf. Having attended various company golf days where ‘Live’ scoring was provided on smartphones given out on the day, the idea of a retail app that did this for individuals or groups was born.

Christopher Cade said, "Smartphone usage is increasing worldwide as is the number of golfers and we felt the idea of knowing how other golfers in your competition were doing ‘real time’ would enhance the enjoyment of the game."

The App, which is available to download for £2.99, can be used on either Android or Iphone and together with their website provides functionality to facilitate the setting up of tournaments. Once a tournament is set up a ‘Join’ code is produced, that when entered into either the Android or Iphone App, will allow the golfer to score and access a ‘real time’ leader board during the round. The website also displays the same leader board and can be accessed by anyone with internet access either locally in the clubhouse, or anywhere in the world.

With other apps in this market space including GolfDayLive, GolfGameBook, Vpar, GTGGolf, GDScore and iWanaMaker, GolfScore Live will be aiming to deliver a cheaper and self serve solution that will be ran by societies, clubs and corporate events companies who will be able to create and run their own tournaments without additional support.
