Glenmuir Launches Bamboo Socks

More than 120 years after the first ever golf sock left Glenmuir's factory in Scotland, the renowned knitwear company has launched a new bamboo sock range.

A far cry from the simple wool argyle sock produced in 1891, Glenmuir's new 'Bamboo Sport Collection' of golf hosiery is packed with features to withstand hours of walking and playing under the most demanding of conditions.

Constructed using a highly technical blend of 74% viscose from bamboo, 23% polyamide and 3% Lycra, Glenmuir's golf socks deliver the ultimate in comfort and support when on the golf course.

The yarn made from bamboo has a soft, luxurious feel and its smooth round fibres make it perfect for sensitive or allergy-prone skin. It absorbs and evaporates sweat in a split second and stays two degrees cooler in hot weather.

Being naturally anti-bacterial, it also stays fresher and odour-free for longer, giving outstanding levels of performance.

As expected from a company with high manufacturing standards the E2050 (long) and E3000 (standard) models both featuring a calf support, half-cushion sole, ankle and arch support and hand-linked toe and heel.

Bamboo fibre is a sensational new yarn that is praised as 'the natural, green and eco-friendly material of the 21st century'. Bamboo is 100% naturally grown without using any pesticides or fertilizers plus it is 100% biodegradable.
