It will involve a radical redesign of the existing nine-hole Alcornoques course, with plans to turn it into a state-of-the-art golf academy boasting what it hopes will be the best golf training facilities in the region.

The Almenara Golf Academy will feature a comprehensive range of amenities, including a natural grass tee line and a covered tee line with a VIP area, Toptracer driving range technology, custom fitting centre, bar and café and night-time practice facilities.

Additionally, the new academy will have a nine-hole par-three course designed by former Spanish Ryder Cup star Manuel Pinero, along with a professional coaching centre that will include a professional practice zone with a dedicated tee line and a short game area including putting and chipping practice greens.
