Cleveland RTZ Wedges Review 2025

Cleveland Golf wedges are widely considered to be among the finest in the game, and the new RTZ Wedges have been engineered to build on that legacy.

Featuring the unique Z-Alloy, which is anti-rust and boasts a lower density, meaning that it allows the designers to build a welcome variety of four versatile sole grind options.

The wedges also feature HydraZip, which maximises spin performance under wet conditions, while ZipCore shifts the centre of gravity closer to where the ball is struck, while simultaneously adding MOI for greater forgiveness.

UltiZip sharper grooves cut through grass and debris at contact, with Rotex Milling increasing friction and is configured to accommodate different shot types. The True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 shaft is popular with tour players, while the Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 grips offer control and comfort with every shot.

But how do these wedges perform under the rigours of testing? 

Golfshake's Equipment Expert, Ryan Rastall, the Head Pro and Howley Hall Golf Club in Leeds, has tested them across a range of different on-course conditions and situations, including chipping, pitching, bunkers and around the green, highlighting the combination of loft and bounce available.
