Rentaclub.co.uk, the UK’s first online golf equipment rental service, is giving golfers the opportunity to hit their best shots with top brand equipment, whenever and wherever they want.

The exclusive new service will enable golfers to test drive new products from Callaway, TaylorMade, Nike, Cleveland, Srixon and Mizuno, among others, just 24-hours after ordering the clubs online.

The new website www.rentaclub.co.uk features a simple, five-step process with a virtual assistant helping golfers select clubs beneficial to their game.  The clubs are then delivered securely next day by UPS to the golfer’s home, or a location of their choice, ready to be put into play.   Rentaclub.co.uk customers receive their clubs in pre-paid packaging, making it easy to return products. On the fourth day of their rental they will be sent an SMS text message reminding them to call UPS to arrange a pick-up the next day from a location of their choosing, including home or work.

The service, which has the backing of leading brands, will offer drivers only initially, with models including the new Callaway FT-iZ, Nike Victory Red Tour STR8-Fit, TaylorMade R9 Super Tri (available March) and Cleveland Launcher DST (available late February). Driver rentals start from £25 for five days, including free delivery, pick-up and return.

Rental prices for fairway woods, hybrids, sets of irons, wedges, putters and full sets of clubs will be announced as the clubs are added to the rental list.

Why would I rent a club?

Renting a club enables you to test drive top brand equipment thoroughly before buying it. There is no better feedback than trying a club on your own course, in your own time. Alternatively, you can just rent the clubs for fun and impress your golfing friends on the 1st tee with the latest TaylorMade or Callaway driver, at a fraction of the cost. Although Rentaclub.co.uk is the first UK golf equipment rental service, renting clubs is popular in the USA and we believe it will catch on here, too.

Is every new club available to rent?

As Rentaclub.co.uk is a new business, initially only drivers will be available, although in time fairway woods, hybrids, irons, wedges, putters and full sets of clubs will be on offer. Most leading manufacturers are supporting Rentaclub.co.uk, so the latest drivers from Callaway, TaylorMade, Nike, Cleveland, Srixon, Mizuno, Wilson and Bridgestone will be available for rent. We will add more brands and clubs in due course.

What is the process for renting a club?

We have created a straightforward, five-step process on our website, www.rentaclub.co.uk. Once you have registered, you will be able to browse by brand, helped by our own impartial, virtual golf assistant who will ask you questions to identify what type of golfer you are and which clubs are likely to benefit your game. Once you’ve selected and ordered the club you want, we’ll immediately post the club to you.

How will I receive and return the club?

The club will be dispatched via UPS on a secure 24-hour delivery. You will receive the club in packaging that you will also use to return the club in. On day four of your rental, you will receive an SMS text message reminding you to call UPS to arrange a location and time for pick-up. Delivery, pick-up and return is free.

What if I want to keep the club for more time?

Simply let us know and we can arrange for another five-day rental period.

What if I like the club and want to buy it?

Rentaclub.co.uk doesn’t sell clubs directly, but we will send you an SMS text referring you to a specific local PGA professional who can help you with a free custom fitting to ensure you play your best with a club that suits you and your swing. Our partner, TGI Golf, is one of Europe’s leading networks for PGA professionals and retailers, with more than 400 shops, so there will be a professional close to your home. If you decide to purchase that club from that professional, not only will the custom fitting be free, there is a guaranteed £25 discount off the manufacturer’s suggested retail price.
