Duca del Cosma Monterosso Shoe Review

Duca del Cosma is a brand you may not have heard of. Inspired by the ‘Italian way of living’, Duca del Cosma aim to deliver unique and comfortable functional golf shoes with Italian fashion and sports functionality.

You may have also seen them as sponsor of the KLM Open European Tour event. 

Looks

I absolutely loved the look of the Monterosso, and as you’d expect, these shoes just ooze Italian quality and style. The Nappa Leather upper comes in 6 colours too, so you have plenty of choice, not to mention the interchangeable laces! Whilst they are a less traditional style of golf shoe and have more in common with a trainer, they still look as at home on the golf course as they do off it.

Feel

Straight out of the box, the Monterosso delivered comfort by the bucketload! They have a breathable and anti-bacterial Arneflex insole that your feet will love... fresh feet = happy feet! These shoes are also super light, so being able to go about your day after the round without changing your shoes is a breeze.

Performance

The Monterosso is a spikeless shoe, so naturally you will not get the same grip you would from spikes. But that’s not really the point with these. That said, I tested these in Autumn, it was damp, and I definitely used ALL of the golf course! No matter what lie I was faced with, the Monterosso performed amazingly well. 

Verdict

A beautifully made, high quality shoe that delivered fantastic comfort and performance at a very competitive price point

Cons

The style will not be to everyone’s taste.

The Bottom Line

The Monterosso is THE perfect summer shoe. Ideal for hot summer days and trips overseas. But, don’t think that’s the only place for these. Whilst it’s not a shoe for the Yorkshire winter, it will suit pretty much every other condition... and perform incredibly well, even on a trip down to the local ale house!

The quality and comfort are simply superb, and I cannot recommend enough that you try a pair of these for yourself.

The guys at Duca del Cosma are so confident you’re going to love their shoes; they add their Chairman’s personal email address to every shoebox so their customers can content the top man directly if they’re not happy.
