Golfshake Podcast #41: Playing Lahinch Golf Club, Irish Open

By: Golfshake Editor | Mon 01 Jul 2019

This week on the Golfshake Podcast, Kieran Clark was joined by Andrew Picken, who described his recent experience of playing the spectacular Lahinch Golf Club, venue of the 2019 Irish Open on the European Tour.

Andy delves into the unique history of the club, the formation and development of the course, its relationship with the local community, and what we can expect to see when the game's best players take to this quintessentially traditional links course located in a small seaside village on the Atlantic coast in Co. Clare around 45 minutes from Shannon airport, near Limerick.

The guys also touch on the beautiful 125th Years of Golf at Lahinch book and the upcoming documentary film Loopers: The Caddie's Long Walk that features caddies from Lahinch. This episode of the podcast captures the magic of this course and village, which has left unforgettable memories within Andy.

For more information, read Andy's Lahinch Golf Club Feature Review.
