Strong Winds Destroy Tournament Structure at Gullane Golf Club

By: Golfshake Editor | Thu 14 Jun 2018

Links courses are defended by the weather conditions, but the breeze has taken to another level at Gullane Golf Club today - venue of this year's Scottish Open on the European Tour. The celebrated East Lothian course has been battered by strong winds, but few could have anticipated seeing part of the tournament infrastructure being literally blown apart.

This incredible video from Connoisseur Golf catches the moment as the structure was destroyed by the breeze. Fair to say that it's a day to sit in the clubhouse and watch the U.S. Open.
