Great Value
My buddy and I booked a “Stay and Play” en-route to Close House for £110 each. This included 1 round of golf, accommodation £25 evening meal allowance and full breakfast. The course was in decent nick for the time of year and there was only 1 temp in play and that was just a timing issue for us as they were top dressing. It’s not the most challenging course that you will ever play but as high handicapper we found it very enjoyable.
Accommodation was very comfortable and the food was top notch. Would happily go back.

Excellent
After the past few weeks of high temperatures the course was in very good condition. The greens were the best we’ve played on all year. Great value for money and highly recommend.Reviewer Rating

Rainy day
This course drains so well. No need to close any holes on this one. Most greens are elevated so drainage not a problem there either. Good all year course. Bad point is fairways. Some are a bit patchy.Reviewer Rating

The only thing that protects this course is it's length. The course is boring and just a long slog.
The greens have been rolled and they are covered in lines and they are so bad because of this ,greens not holding putts ball runs untrue and take borrow's that are not there.
The greens let the course down do not play this course until they recover.
