What the club says: Welcome to Stonham Barns Golf Centre, a Get Into Golf Starter Centre based in the heart of Suffolk. Our aim is to make golf fun. Our facilities include a 9 Hole Golf Course, a 28 Bay Range and facilities of the Mini-Putt Course we can make golf available to everybody. We welcome and encourage juniors and beginners and offer the facilities to help them enjoy golf and develop an overall knowledge of the swing and a general understanding of golfing terms and etiquette.

GETTING BACK ON TRACK
(Round played: Nov 2015 - Score: 84 Handicap: 23.9) Having spoken to the owner about the problems discussed in my earlier reviews I'm delighted to say that they are going to separate the Foot-Golf from the course. We played today for the first time in 15-months and, albeit a little damp, I'm delighted to say that this little course has lost none of it's charm.

I recently visited Stonham Barns Golf centre with my son and 2 grandsons to play golf on their nine hole course. My grandsons are new to golf and were excited at the prospect of playing on a "proper" course. We had heard that Stonham Barns Golf Centre was perfect for beginners and juniors and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by friendly staff who offered my grandsons the loan of golf clubs free of charge. The course was just right for all of us, not too challenging for the juniors but a couple of par 4 holes to make it more of a challenge for the grown ups. The course was in really good condition with lots of trees and bunkers to make it interesting. We all had a great day out that was fantastic value at £7 for adults and £5 for the juniors to play either 9 or 18 holes. We shall certainly be returning again soon. It is refreshing to find somewhere that is is doing all they can to encourage more juniors and beginners to get into golf in a relaxed and friendly environment. I would recommend Stonham Barns Golf Centre to anyone wanting to start playing golf without the usual restrictions of a conventional golf club.

Great beginners course. Really enjoyed playing. Greens quite small but good to have two par four holes. Will definitely visit again.

A very well priced 9 hole course that includes seven par 3's and two par 4's. The course is good for beginners or anyone wishing to improve their short game. A very pleasant walk around the tree lined course. I would definitely come and play here again.

It used to be a good little course but it has become poor due to campers wandering around the course and footgolfers mixing with golfers, slowing play down

This course is ideal as a beginners course and still provides a challange for the most experienced golfers. The course is quite short but it does have 2 par fours and is well maintained.

Stonham Barns Golf Centre is an excellent starter golf centre. The range is wide and well markered and the course was in excellent condition when we played.

A nice little tester for your short irons and short game, the greens are pretty small but in great condition given the cost of a round and the type of course this is, they also ran at a good pace and true).
There are 2 par 4 holes and the rest are short par 3's. I played in strong winds in the middle of the rainy season and was pleasantly suprised how well this course drains. The wind increased the difficulty of the holes dramatically.
