What the club says: Founded in 1903, the Club, sited in Suffolk, is just to the south of the River Waveney, which forms the natural boundary between the Counties of Suffolk & Norfolk. This has ensured that ever since its formation, the Club has looked to Suffolk for its competition rather than Norfolk, the county in which the town stands.

Worthy of a visit
The first three holes unassuming but get you into the swing of it. Once across the road you get into the real spirit of the course. It is good test of golf with no hole the same without being punishing difficult. The more you play it the better it becomes. Friendly membershipReviewer Rating

Nice course with some challenge.
Nice course with a few challenging holes. The older course holes 4 onwards are kind of set up like a mini links course, with thick rough and fairly narrow fairways in places. The greens are very well kept and have a good speed as well.Bar and restaurant is ok for a drink after a game.
Golf shop staff are friendly but the stock is very limited.
Practise areas are nice and kept well.
Overall its a nice club and golf course, but could improve in some areas.

The length of the grass on the fairways was ridiculously long and made it very difficult to find your ball after your tee shot even down the middle of the fairway, the greens were awful.
I did not like the course at all and it is not worth the money and would not even want to play it again of half the price, for the same green fee you can play Ufford Park and that is lightyears ahead of Diss and a truly stunning course to play.

Lovely course, friendly club
Have visited this course a few times now, and always enjoyed it. Very entertaining course, some excellent holes, though guess these days some might find a little short. Always a friendly welcome by proshop/membersReviewer Rating

Challenging course, greens are superb
A very warm welcome from the check-in ladies when we arrived, Explain their current COVID rules, 1st hole a hard opening hole a long par 3, once you finish the first 3 holes and cross the road to the 4th it's like a different course completely, humps and bumps on the fairways, greens are in A1 condition. The par 4 13th which is stroke index 2 should be SI 1, a hard hole with a blind drive with bushes waiting for aDuff tee Shot to the marker post, all down hill, with some big hollows and hillocks waiting for your next shot if not struck well, if your in here a complete blind shot to the green awaits you. Par for the course is 70 so well pleased to hit 83 as it's my first ever round here. Shame it rained hard from the 16th but didn't dampen our day out at Diss golf club. Would
Recommend and would recommend going on their website and study the hole by hole guide from the pro so you know the layout.

Wonderful course worth visiting
Interestingly very linksy in nature, making it a delight to play with all it's undulations and cleverly located flags. Look out for the "Chasm of death" which is based on the old sand and gravel pits.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 103 Handicap: )

Quirky & Fun
I really enjoyed the combination of Parkland and Heathland on offer at DissThe fairways and greens were in excellent condition. The course is OK for most abilities from the tee, the greens did feel small which is great for iron play but are tough to hit.
Overall the course is great fun and ideal for anyone of any handicap.
