What the club says: Woodcote Park offers members and their guests the opportunity to play two exceptional parkland golf courses, the Old Course and Coronation, in the beautiful surroundings of the Epsom Downs. Sweeping down towards Epsom racecourse, the tree-lined grounds make for a dramatic backdrop to a round of golf at any time of year and offer the perfect setting for a corporate golf day.

Great course
Very good condition for time of year and after all the rain. Greens were lightning fast even though they were recently tined and sanded.Very nice views and friendly club

Former European Tour venue and you can see why
Back in the 80s the Old Course at the RAC hosted the likes of Seve and you can see why. A long course (although maybe not by today's standards) the uphill holes play into the wind making for quite a challenge. The bunkering is very challenging for longer hitters from the back tees but it is the greens where you get found out. The undulations are the like that you normally only ever see on a links course. The greens weren't particularly quick but they can't be given how sloping they are. Many greens are enormous and three putts are common place. There are a fair few short par 4 holes where scores can be made but this is a tough track. It was enjoyable to play, teh second time i have played it. I think this is the sort of place you need to play a few times to get to grips with it.Reviewer Rating

Beautiful course
Heavy downpour before the round seemed to mean that some of the members decided not to play and hence the course was quiet. I was playing as a guest and prefer the Coronation course to the Old. Conditions excellent. Greens true. Hilly in places. No water. Rough reasonable. Loved the round and look forward to the next.Reviewer Rating

Deceptively good
Woodcote Park has slick, undulating greens (we went in late November), deceptive bunkering making for difficult reading of length onto the putting putting surface, and lots of height variation. A top-quality design by Herbert Fowler. Some drives are a bit shapeless and trees are not used to full effect (The Berkshire, for example, does it better) but the shot variety, quality of putting surfaces and fine Surrey views make up for these few drawbacks. We had a very entertaining round, followed by superb hospitality in the RAC's grand country retreat.Reviewer Rating

Coronation course
Played yellow tees on a golf day after heavy rain. Some fairways muddy (but playable) tee boxes and greens (still fast) and in top condition. Course plays longer than the card with some elevations. No water hazards but lots of bunkers in top condition. much serious rough.Posh - but friendly- and everything you could want in the clubhouse.
Will come back - I have friends who are members - but you can only get in with a member or on a golf day.
Get here early to park close to the clubhouse!
