What the club says: No visit to Fairmont St Andrews would be complete without a game of golf. With two magnificent courses that weave their way over the rolling landscape, an unforgettable experience awaits both the seasoned professional and the beginner alike.
Torrance Course (Fairmont St Andrews)
Opened in August 2001, the Torrance is a spectacular course incorporating cliff-edge holes and stunning views over the North Sea and the medieval skyline of historic St Andrews.
Kittocks Course (previously known as Devlin Course) (Fairmont St Andrews)
The Devlin is the more challenging course of the two and was designed by Gene Sarazen and Bruce Devlin. Opened in July 2002, the course stretches over Kittock's Den and along the sweeping coastline. It provides a formidable test to every category of golfer with the breathtaking coastline an intrinsic feature of the layout.

Maintenance needed
Played on 21st April in mixed cool conditions; practice area now has free balls on the range, but the tee mats are horrible (uneven and very clingy). Fairways had a huge number of unfilled divots; grass on fairways rather thin with a lot of muddy bare lies. Although greens tined and top dressed they were running very well; course design is excellent with plenty of fun holes to play. Lack of a toilet for ladies is a serious omission - 15 minutes to jog to the clubhouse and back between the 9th green and 10th tee is the closest point. Prices of everything in the clubhouse are eye watering.Reviewer Rating

Scottish Tour
Fairmont St. Andrews Kittocks is a unique golf experience that combines stunning landscapes and challenging course play. The course is located in the picturesque rolling hills of Fife, with remarkable views of both the Firth of Forth and the North Sea. The course plays to a par of 72 and is laid out in such a way as to give golfers a great level of challenge. The well kept fairways and greens make for a pleasant playing experience and the friendly staff are always on hand to offer help and advice. I highly recommend Kittocks as a fantastic golf course to visit - the scenery and the challenging course play make for an enjoyable round.Reviewer Rating

Tough track with some memorable holes
Located a few minutes drive outside St Andrews, the Fairmont is a golf resort and the Torrance course is a tough one. It is not really a links course and the rough is penal. There are some memorable holes but many donot stand out and quite a few are very similar. The par 5 holes are all strong, good holes and there is some variety in the par 3 holes and a couple of the par 4 holes but many are long slogs into the prevailing wind. Conditioning was good but it was a real challenge if you don't have your A game.Reviewer Rating

Disappointed that the course was even open. I did receive an early warning that buggies would be restricted to cart paths due to rain .. Sadly no warning that every tee box and fairway was underwater on the Kittocks course. To top off a miserable squelchy day the clubhouse was closed for a private function. No apologies were offered.Reviewer Rating

Great course along to cliff tops
Amazing location of club house with good facilities and cafe/restaurant. Didn’t see a bar.Plenty of tee times available.
The course was excellent and a good challenge. Stroke saver needed on first couple of rounds.
Will defiantly play again.

Great place to play
Fairmont St Andrews is a fantastic resort. Two courses, beautiful hotel, great pro shop, and a clubhouse with views to die for.We played The Torrance Course. Great mix of challenging holes, Par 3s of all distances, one or two risk/reward driveable par 4s and long winding par 5s.
Main thing for me is always the greens, and, even though we played on 4th January, the greens were pristine and rolling true.
This place is well worth a visit.

Glorious Views, Great Value
Well worth playing either the Torrance or the Kittocks when visiting this corner of Fife. Although the weather is notoriously unreliable (well, it is Scotland), it's the unpredictability which helps make the tracks a challenge. Both courses have their fair share of tricky holes, while the views across the coastal area are truly memorable.Reviewer Rating
