What the club says: Situated only twenty minutes from the centre of Edinburgh, Whitehill House, one of the finest Tudor Jacobean revival houses in Scotland, provides the perfect setting for this gloriously testing par 70 golf course.

Whitehill is a formidable test for golfers at every level. Each hole presents the players with different challenges and although most good golfers find it difficult to hold par, the layout makes it rewarding. Come along and take on Ramsay's Revenge!

Lovely Challenging Course & Excellent Food

Tucked away in the Hertfordshire countryside this is a real challenge for most golfers and comes with a great F&B team who go out of their way to help and provide you with a great experience from start to finish

Honest review

Its not so much a golf course as a long pitch and put course though the greens have seen better days and the occasional greenkeeper.

Short golf course, quite boggy/muddy in places so plays longer as you dont get a lot of roll on the fairways etc. The greens are a bit slow and they aren't the best - but £15 for a round isnt to be sniffed at.

Scotland's secret golf course will charm golfers of all abilities. This is millionaires golf without the crowds. From the half mile long driveway, past the stunning mansion to the honesty box in the temporary "clubhouse" and onto the golf course proper, this is great golf far from the madding crowds of nearby Edinburgh. If you get more than 5 cars in the car park you've come on a busy day!

The 9-hole layout on generally dog leg holes plays around the mansion house and a two ponds. Holes of note include the 5th, tucked into a lovely corner of the course and the par-3, 8th over a huge ravine from tee to green will last long in the mind. Bring your friends and family here, but remember not to tell anyone about this golfing gem.
