What the club says: Glencorse was founded in 1890 and designed by Willie Park. A very picturesque 18 hole parkland course of 5217 yards and although it has eight par three's it certainly cannot be described as an easy course. Only one par three is under 200 yards.

Cramped

This is one course I would love to play again now that I know there's a burn that runs through the course and don't be put of because there's 8 par 3s shortest one is about 160 a took 18 golfers here on an outing and everyone enjoyed it kitchen staff and bar staff very friendly

Glencorse Golf Club
This is a fantastic course and offers a challenge to golfers. I can thoroughly recommend this course to anyone looking to play there. Well worth visiting the clubhouse afterwards as it offers great food and drinks plus it has a great bar.Reviewer Rating

Great test and course is in immaculate condition.Need to be straightish if you don`t want to use many balls and destroy your card.
Certainly worth a visit and don`t be put off by series of par 3`s. What a challenge and club selection !
Definitey will get back again soon for another excellent day.

Challenging and tight

good couurse,a test of your game
very friendly, a wee bit out with there pars. a course where you have to play a game not just cannon it down the fairway. A trial for all levels, it was an invitational game but will play again. Value for money have paid more for rotten conditions.(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 93 Handicap: 25.1)

played the course for the first time. excellent condition .lots of water in play.we bit challenging due to some hills.

Brain not brawn
Like it says this is in and around a glen. The designer arranged for the majority of holes to have a water hazard or two. The holes are mainly short but don't equate this to easy. It's scenic and definitely worth a visit

Course constantly asks the question whether you can be accurate off the tee since you hit a reasonable shot but still be hampered by trees. Positioning matters. 200 yard par 3s are all a challenge, especially the 5th, 230yds off the whites with a burn in front of the green. Easy short hole pars instantly become double bogies by going into thick trees that line many fairly narrow fairways. Some greens different speeds. Only complaint is that bunkers had too little sand forcing you to play more a chip than a splash shot. Lovely scenery and setting with some beautiful views, especially the 18th tee.

Lovely hit in great condition.....lot's of interesting par 3's (8) all a different challenge and only 1 under 200 yards....very enjoyable......greens tricky to read which adds to the difficulty.....burn snaking around a lot of holes make for acurate play....lovely day out :-)

what a hidden gem this is. it has a real micro climate so don't let poor weather put you off playing. its par 64 but ss is 66 and the burn running through it makes it a very nice course. love the 18th hole! WOW!

Excellent golf course with excellent surroundings for a short course it has some tricky and interesting holes. Water hazards can add big scores to cards if playing correctly
