What the club says: Boughton Park and the surrounding facilities provide an area of scenic beauty with numerous varieties of trees. There are English oaks that are several centuries old, streams and lakes with swans and ducks wandering cautiously about, with wonderful views of the nearby Malvern Hills.
The course was designed by Dr. Alister Mackenzie, in 1927, who subsequently designed the Augusta, Masters Course in the USA. A park land course with narrow approaches to the greens, and a good test of golf accuracy, that measures 6,251 yards. Surrounded by glorious scenery, close to the River Severn and Worcester City centre - Robin Davis, Captain.

Fair test of gollf

Some great golf holes where it not all just driver / wedge.
Fairways and greens in pristine condition.
Bunkers could understandably do with some attention after all the rain.
Half-way house was closed on a Bank Holiday weekend Friday evening.

Great course and the greens are in great condition. Pro shop is always friendly and the clubhouse does some great food! The course is well laid out with some exception holes which focus more on placement as bombing it around can see you run out of space really quickly! Well designed and protected greens offer a challenge upon approach and you need to plan your yardage into the greens to avoid misplacing long and medium irons into those green side bunkers

Nice course - some exceptional holes

Enjoyable round - but mixed reviews......we played as 2 x 3 balls sadly the second 3 ball (who were higher handicappers) got caught up in a golf society who were anything but pleasant to them ..and it made our second ground walk off after 12 holes! Which is very sad...but a reflection more on the arrogance of golf societies in general than this course and its members......Our round as the first group was excellent. Everyone we met on the course was very friendly. Only down side was the first 5 holes are laid out on ground where you are either criss crossing other holes or playing alongside the road coming into the GC. so once you get away from that it gets really nice. Loved the par 3 8th and the 9th great views. and some of the very quirky back nine holes like the blind tee shot on 12. The finish over water on 18 is memorable. Will definitely play again. I played for £30 with a county card and the pro generously gave all players this preferential rate...which was good value. Beautiful club house! with great vistas

Greens very quick with subtle breaks. Course is in good condition overall. My only complaint would be the inconsistency of the bunkers with some having very little sand over a clay base.

played course in October 09 with society and was made very welcome. good food and plenty of it. Put together a table card for society with a few lines on history of club, not ordered by society, but done as a gesture.
Course itself in v. good condition, greens very quick for time of year and green staff go round with blowers to keep leaves off course. well worth a visit
