What the club says: Set amongst 150 acres of rolling parkland beneath the Ochil Hills, this 6200 yard, par 70 championship length course will challenge the best golfers whilst offering great enjoyment to the average player.
The course was designed by James Braid in 1935 on the estate of Schawpark House where it has an extremely picturesque landscape and has gained much privacy from the mature tree-lined fairways.

Loved it!
4 of us played a couple of courses either side of a trip to the Open at St Andrews, this was the second. A late replacement as we had originally planned to play Stirling but could not get a tee time in the morning. A lot cheaper and great value. The clubhouse looks a bit shabby compared to some but dont be fooled. The fairways and greens were excellent. Some really interesting holes and the photos don't do it justice as the course rolls up and and down and around! some decent dog legs and blind holes. Only puzzle is two of the par 5s off white tees are 4s off yellow but barely any distance shorter, felt like a loss of 10-20 yards at the cost of one shot but the Stroke index was still the same? so a par 4 played 470 yards into wind on the day and was index 14. Played much harder than index 1 and 2 on the day! That said we all love a test!?! yes??Great welcome at the bar and fab all day breakfast!

Stunning views
A very well designed course which you had to think your way around. Club choice was not always obvious and I include Driver off the tee in that. Fairways are scorched at the moment but run very true. Watch out for the odd brook crossing the fairway but out of view. Bunkers are well placed but quite friendly as the sand is excellent. Greens were a bit slow but we put that down to the current weather conditions encouraging the green keepers to maintain a bit of growth. There are quite a few blind shots but no surprises when you get over the hill and well placed marker posts. I thoroughly enjoyed playing here.Reviewer Rating

Nice course shame about the pace
Attractive parkland course in reasonable condition given its early November. Round let down by taking 4hrs 32 mins, on a Monday, as very slow 4 ball in front would not let me through, despite no one ahead of them(Round played: Nov 2017 - Score: 90 Handicap: 19)

Thought a lot of the holes were very similar. Quite long for a Par 69 off the tees. I know it’s the end of season but the greens were very poor. Enjoyed it but wouldn’t rush backReviewer Rating

Lots of rain recently so the course was heavy and greens bumpy. Lovely sunny day and a great welcome in the clubhouse with great food.
