What the club says: The Manor House Golf Club course adjoins the magnificent grounds of the luxurious Manor House Hotel and is set in 200 acres of wooded valley and downland. Peter Alliss, who designed the 6500 yard, par 72 championship course with Clive Clark says, "It's hard to imagine a finer setting for an English golf course." The setting, layout and design make each hole memorable and the course is testing yet fair and enjoyable.

Lovely coarse

Really like this course, it's a mix of straightforward holds and some that pose a very good/stiff challenge. Greens and fairways are extremely well-kept and are in great condition, especially as it absolutely caked it down the previous day, hats off to the drainage.
Liked the fact that the driving range is free, this is the first place I've been to where this happened, it's a small thing but just liked it.

One of my all time favourite courses

Unbelievable condition, stunning variety of holes, loads of fun. O Very long walk between holes, but I don't mind too much. Just a heads up to anyone who might prefer a buggy.

Superb course in great condition considering the recent rain. Played fantastically well, the wind made a challenging course even tougher!

eagle worthy review

just 30 mins from Bristol, is a course that's as challenging as it is spectacular, starting on the first by the members you need to carry 200 straight, to the 18th where the green is surrounded by water and sand
facility's are just as good, with the staff friendly and always willing to help
its a must visit

Absolute brilliant course, recommend a buggy (i used electric trolley) as it a long up and down walk.
Ive played JCB, 2010, Belfry and this is not very far behind them.

Beautiful course, worth visiting

Beautiful course, well worth a visit. Cart path only rules make for a VERY slow round though. Sometimes forcing you to walk 60+ yards to and from your ball/the cart!

Manor house -excellent

This is a challenging course with most holes being significantly different from one another. The 2nd is beautiful par 3 with an elevated tee and a river surrounding the front and sides of the green. The 12th has a split fairway with the first half elevated then dropping again to the second half but with the green very elevated at the end of this par 5. You will also enjoy the 17th (Wait and see). The hotel and pro shop are very welcoming, and the food is great.
