Lovely course, well presented.
Have played here a few times over the past 15yrs. In years gone by it was almost unplayable due to the gorse, however that’s all been cut back in recent years and it’s now a tough but fair test of your golf. Pre round toast is and beer were excellent quality in a well presented clubhouse (with relaxed dress code to a point). The course itself was lovely, fairways were firm, 1st cut was fair and the rougher stuff was well kept, not many places to lose balls. The greens were true and the ball rolled well, they were quick but not overly so. At £90 a green fee it’s a bit on the expensive side but worth a visit once or twice a year.Reviewer Rating

Always thought Sand Moor gets overlooked due to the more 'known' courses locals (Moortown/Alwoodley) but it's a very good course and often half the price. We played just after a long down-poor and the course held up very well. Great varied mix of holes.Reviewer Rating

Enjoyed the round. Some nice par 3s but too many bunkers for my liking. Worth buying a course planner so you know where you are hitting on blind tee shots.(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 108 Handicap: 31.5)

Heathland
Real proper heathland course with a good mixture of long and short holes. Really penal bunkers around (all around) many greens which cost me at least 5 shots in the round but really enjoyed it.(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 92 Handicap: 18.8)

Splendid day on a tight golf course. Many hole particularly the short par 3's require accuracy and straight hitting. Lovely clubhouse and the staff were very helpful made the day one to be remembered.(Round played: Jun 2018 - Score: 101 Handicap: 23.5)
