Stunning golf course
Cracking course, friendly staff and decent clubhouse for food/drink. Round was overpriced on a deserted midweek in April.Reviewer Rating

Pitlochry in the sun
The legendary hike up the first 5 holes to reach the summit of the 6th tee are worth it for the amazing views down the glenPlaying Pitlochry in any weather is great fun, but on a warm sunny day, it is simply wonderful.
A super friendly club with great catering and facilities within its picturesque club house

Enjoyable course
I’ll start with some truth. My wife and I went to Pitlochry to visit our friend who’s the head pro there but I hope you’ll see my review is objective. The first thing you notice when you stand on the first tee is the elevation change in the fairway. Your approach shots are way below the green so you need to judge distance correctly. The first few holes are simple enough then you hit the fifth where you are hitting to a raised green. It’s a tough one to gauge correctly but rewarding when you hit the green. Slope to the right punishes errant shots. The views from the elevated sixth tee are great and you have a couple of easier holes before coming to the short ninth where accuracy is crucial. It’s a dogleg left and you only need to hit it around 150 to leave a decent approach shot. The back nine starts with a tricky par four over the hill and a lovely uphill par three followed by a few par fours you can take advantage of. The downhill par three sixteenth was hard to club before a drivable par four. You finish with another great view of the course and the clubhouse/pub. The eighteenth was a drive and a flick for me and the beer and food in the clubhouse after the round were superb. We loved it so much, we have already committed to returning.
Overall, course views and layout are fantastic, greens were not great but it had snowed in May this year and we were told that before playing. This course may not be long but it’s very enjoyable and a decent challenge off the whites. If you’re looking for somewhere to play and in the area, stop by and you won’t regret it

Nice but too slow
The setting is beautiful, views are great and the course is in lovely condition with some challenging golf. However the course is very slow is the reality, far too many shared tee boxes or tee boxes next to greens so you can’t tee off or even putt at times. I was constantly watching behind for balls coming or waiting to play as others safety is in danger. not good, it seems to be that course like this are extended to try to stay up with the technology but the reality is a frustrating slow game I’m afraid. Worth a game just for the views and to say you’ve played it but you won’t go backReviewer Rating

Nice
Nice course, challenging but very hilly to start with. Nice clubhouse but the pea and mint soup was awful and the sandwich’s very underwhelming given the price. Wouldn’t eat here again(Round played: Jul 2021 - Score: 95 Handicap: 17.2)

Just too hilly
Testing course but far too hilly to be a fair test or to be considered a top 100 course. Overall good condition but even in the summer some really wet and sticky areas. Didn’t enjoy it. Won’t be back.Reviewer Rating
