What the club says: The Murrayshall Estate is home to both the Murrayshall and Lynedoch Golf Courses. Two prestigious but very different courses, they provide a hugely enjoyable challenge for guests and visiting golfers.
Both courses are a real contrast to one another – Murrayshall Championship, the wider, longer course requires length and accuracy from the tee shot, this will allow golfers the opportunity to approach greens from the correct angle, widening the view of the pin. Lynedoch however is shorter but no less a challenge, tighter fairways, bracken filled gullies and tall Scots Pine trees narrow the golfer’s view of fairways and greens.

Beware of "Hotel Policy" that treats golfers as cash cows.
Visited Perthshire early April 2024 with a group of 8 golfers from Wales. Unfortunately our trip.coincided with a UK monsoon season and it was disrupted by bad weather. All of the courses we were to visit were understanding of our plight and went our of their way to avoid our trip becoming a disaster. Blairgowrie rescheduled our tee time so we got to play during a window in the weather, Gleneagles kept us updated on the course condition as it recovered from a closure due to flooding helping us plan our game there and Auchterarder volunteered a full refund of our green fees so we could head home early. All were a fantastic advertisement for the golf industry in Perthshire and provided a stark contrast to the way we were treated by Murrayshall.Murrayshall refused to offer a discount or refund even though they had 8 temporary greens in play on the day we were scheduled to play. Instead we were offered vouchers to return at an alternative date. We explained that this would require a 10 hour round trip and was not a practical proposition. Their response was to state that this was their policy, so beware, they will expect you to pay a full green fee regardless of the condition of their course and will think nothing of keeping hundreds of pounds worth of green fees by offering totally impractical alternatives to playing when half of the course is unfit for.play.
Their are many better courses in the area that know how to treat golfers as valued customers. Murrayshall does not and is one to avoid.

Top course!
This is a fantastic course for the costs! Greens were of a great standard, and you had to think your way through every hole without every being overly punished for not great shots. I will most definitely be returning to the course again!(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 92 Handicap: 17.3)

Tough course
Main Murrayshall course is quite long and a challenging layout thanks to the many trees scattered around the layout. You need to think your way around this course, not smash a drive off every tee. Some holes stand out 8 (tree lined par 3), 10 (approach over a pond) and 17 spring to mind. Good club house facilities, not mixed with very many members, but the ones I've met are friendly. Buy a shot saver booklet from the Pro shop if you are playing the course for the first time and don't always reach fr your driver! Country membership is a steal!Reviewer Rating

Disappointing
Neither course is that exciting, and the stroke index on the bigger course seems very odd - short par 3 with a low SI, to be followed by a long hole with a high SI.Reviewer Rating

Great course (Murrayshall 18)
What a fantastic course to play (Murrayshall18). Well laid out, a thinking golfers course. A couple of driveable par 4s, and a few tough par 3s make for an excellent 18 holes. Will be back.(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 81 Handicap: 13
