A Hidden Gem at the foot of the Sma Glen
This James Braid course serves Glenalmond College, its Golf Academy and I understand local residents in the glen can play too. Consequently it’s very quiet and under utilised. This makes it quite special. As a Parent member of the School community, I’ve had the opportunity to play this course many times and it’s at its very best during the summer months. Investment would benefit the course regard to off drainage. Some of the fairways suffer from soft conditions, And on a few holes, it can get a little boggy. But the long under fairways, shielded by a Perthshire canvas make this course special and comparable to many other exclusive courses in the area. It’s not perfect by far, but the constant sign of wildlife and the well groomed fairways and greens demonstrate considerable commitment of what is undoubtedly a tight budget. If you have the opportunity, play the course.Reviewer Rating
