What the club says: Moseley is a tree lined parkland course. It is a 6292 yard par 70, but a standard scratch of 71 means its relatively short length belies its challenges. The course is well known for its fast and true greens, which are in use the whole year through, and has hosted many regional and county events. Lovely course for golfers with a handicap

This course is an outstanding course with some real challenges and is a very good test of golf. You can hardly find a better setting for a golf course in lush a setting with ponds and quality maintained fairways and tee boxes. Having played here before should have been an advantage but still I struggled off an 18 handicap. There were good moments but the greens were lightning quick and the tests of golf were plenty. Doglegs, fairway and other bunkers, trees and many other considerations to question your course management skills. Staff were efficient and helpful. Food was good and they looked after our group. Recommended.

Lovely course in Kings Heath

We’d had a lot of rain but the course held up pretty well. Bunkers never drained well but greens were immaculate, especially considering th3 time of year.

Lovely Course, nice holes.

Played for the first time and found it very challenging. Some long par 4s. Beautiful course with some amazing holes. Would certainly recommend this if you can get on. If you are in the area then give it a try. I think you will love it.

Excellent course with suboptimal members

Played Moseley this weekend. Course is in fantastic condition for the time of year. The greens were fast (really fast), and presented a good challenge. A number of the holes are really nice golf holes.

The staff are very friendly and hospitable. Unfortunately our two interactions with the membership at Moseley were less than good, one shouted at my friend calling him "stupid" for shanking a shot... and another asked us to leave the clubhouse with our clean shoes on because they "weren't allowed". It is this kind of culture that stops newer golfers coming to the game, and the sort of snobby behaviour which must be removed to grow the game of golf.

Overall, really good day out.

A beautiful golf course

I played on a very hot day as part of a The Quadrant Golf Society. We had food booked at the start and on arrival we were greeted and guided to our dining area by very friendly staff. The lasagne/salad/crusted bread was an overwhelming success. To the putt green which was very quick and then to the course. I didn't score my best but the 18 strong group proved that the course played hard with 33 points being the highest. The blend of holes is great. 1st hole guarded by ditches either side. 2nd down hill with trouble trees left and right. 3rd- left hand dog leg with bunkers and the cricket ground on the left. 4th a nice downhill par 3 bunker and trees either side. 5th across water dog leg left - with trees guarding - tough. I coud go on...It is a lovely course which with its carefully bunker and trees will test your judgement and courage. I recommend this 1892 course strongly!!!

Very pleasant parkland course with a few absolute cracking holes

Enjoyed a £20 discounted round - to evaluate membership which is currently an option that's open to all. The club house is really nice - on a par with the likes of Notts Hollinwell, Blackwell... beautifully set. Perfect for a pint after a summer's round. The course is a surprise -very picturesque and only a stones throw from the hustle and bustle of Kings Heath town centre. It is a very pleasant parkland course with some real stand out holes. The 2nd is a good fun up and down hole, the par 4 fifth with a drive over the lake (take on the trees on the dog leg if you have the carry) is a cracking hole - possibly one of the best in the west mids. And the par 3 sixth to follow is very pleasant down hill long par 3. But not much else stood out on the front nine. But I really liked the 10th and 11th holes. The fairway bunkers on 10 really frame the hole nicely and the bunkers on 11 look menacing from the tee. 2 cracking holes! All the remaining holes are just typically nice pakland holes no complaints (I will look forward to seeing them in the summer) but the views looking down the 18th are reminiscent of the 18th at Notts Hollinwell. Very classy.

Best bit of the round? The greens! They are in absolutely amazing condition. Great contours. Perfect roll. Well done the greenkeepers.

Worst bit - felt a little cramped in places with a few greens in dangerous positions to wild tee shots. But only a minor gripe
I'll defo go again.

Worth a visit

Played here for the first time and found greens and tees in excellent condition although surprised there were a few mats as tees this early in the winter season. Although fairways were quite boggy in patches.

Simply Great

Sat not far from Birmingham city centre it's hard to imagine you would find a course like this. Tight and tricky on the front 9 where you really feel like you're hanging onto your score at every shot. Opens up a bit on the back 9 but still every hole is a challenge. Great bunkering all round the course. A couple of long, brutal par 4?s and a great mix of par 3?s make this a great course that will challenge all abilities of golfer. The greens are some of the trickiest I've putted on and with the slopes they can seem so fast if you've left yourself on the wrong side....
I would recommend this to anyone thinking about playing here.
