most welcoming club
Our golf group put forward 4 for today's round after a considerable rainfall overnight. Not surprising it was a little damp underfoot and the summer fairways were behind us. However the greens played very well. The members in the clubhouse were exceedingly welcoming and accommodating; we had brought our own sandwiches to eat in the clubhouse which was no problem. The course is a joy with a variety of holes and gives the rather appropriate option of playing either the 6th or 1st hole which enabled another couple to set off at the same time as us.Reviewer Rating

A wonderful friendly course
We came for a "golf day" here with bacon rolls for lunch between the two rounds of the course.Reviewer Rating

a wonderful golf day for the society
we played at Lydney on a day when they had a senior golf tournament (20 golfers) and they were very accommodating letting us play at the same time. We had a bacon roll before our round and a sandwich with chips after; the hospitality made the journey all worth while and we'll be there again.Reviewer Rating
