What the club says: Founded in 1993 and set in 240 acres of beautiful meadowland, boasting spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, Great Hadham will offer a warm welcome and a challenge to golfers of all abilities.
Our 18 hole Championship Course, has several elevated tees giving great views and whilst you will relish the opportunity to really let rip from these tees, be aware of the hazards that are carfully placed around the course to offer real risk and reward for those who take it on! Course in good condition especially considering the recent weather. Greens recently sprayed / fed, playing a little slower than usual. Rough getting very long. Fairways ready for a cut. Staff friendly and helpful. Good selection of refreshments in clubhouse.o

Quirky course

Dont buy a Sandwich
Played it during a Soceity day & enjoyed it but the course was so dry you had to land it about 50 yards short & hope it bounced the right way!!, order a Cheese & pickley Sandwich cost ?4.95 one half was dry/hard & was worth at most ?1 not happy or impressed.Reviewer Rating

Defo a lot of investment going on. I heard they are replacing 3 bunkers a year greens are getting better and drying out nicely. I would like them to roll the approaches as these can be unpredictable

Enjoyable round
My friend and I played at Great Hadham in December 2021/ We had played here a couple of times but not for three years. In that time, improvements have been made to the course so we were keen to try the out the course. The course is quite challenging for a high handicapper like myself but not too much so. There are a few interesting holes though there are a number of holes that seem a bit samey. The course was in good condition despite the recent wet weather - the fairways were only wet in a few places and the bunkers have improved dramatically since we last played.The clubhouse is a bit unprepossessing from the outside but is really nice inside. The pro shop is well stocked and the bar and eating area is both large and airy. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was good.
We will definitely play there again.

Course in decent condition especially the greens albeit they are a little slow. Some work needed on a couple of tees and that is in progress.
Not many bunkers but off the fairway the first cut is quite thick so not easy to escape from. If you go into the heavy rough make sure you take a provisional as you will be lucky to find your first ball!
In the last 2 years there has been a big improvement in this course. Definitely worth another visit if you havent tried since 2019.
