What the club says: Measuring 6,065 yards with a par of 69, Grange over Sands is a superb golf course set in an exceptionally picturesque location, designed by Dr Alistair MacKenzie. The fairways here are not so tight that the slightest of stray shots is gone, but several of the holes are lined with trees, meaning you have to keep you concentration, especially as there are several strategically placed hazards. It provides a cracking challenge for all golfers, with its undulating greens meaning approach shots must be well struck to score low. Its four par 3's are said to be some of the finest short holes in the area. The entire course is always very well maintained, with immaculate fairways, and it is playable all year round.

36 holes
The course has some really lovely holes, & is a descent test of golf at all levels. There has been some flood damage over the winter, but the green staff have managed to overcome this issue & we played a nice course that's only going to get better over the next few weeks. The staff can't be more obliging & the food was good. We played 36 holes on a flat course with great views on certain holes. Looking forward to going back in September when the course should be at 100% highly recommend you playReviewer Rating

Very friendly
Course is quite flat and fairways a bit tighter than I'm used to but were fair. Staff in the pro-shop were very friendly and helpful.Reviewer Rating

Exceptional
3 golf pros now in the pro shop. Very helpful and friendly lads. Course in fantastic condition. Flat course, easy walk, lots of trees and a few water hazards make this a very nice course with stunning views wherever you are on the course.Reviewer Rating

Favourite course
This course is my favourite course by a mile so picturesque with tight ish fairways that's a good test. Every time I've played here I've been welcomed by the members and the pro is very helpful. The course is always in great condition considering the amount of flooding.I have a caravan at the local Haven site in Flukeburgh that brought this course to my attention and have played here around 8 times.
I live in Garstang around 40 minutes away I'm seriously thinking about becoming a member, the course is a credit to the members, the Green keepers and the professional. Thankfully golf courses are now open and I will travelling up asap.

Nice course, worth playing
First time playing Grange, well stocked pro shop, friendly welcome. Course in reasonable condition for time of year and recent poor weather but full course in play. The course is very flat. Some interesting holes with a few dog legs. Greens good for time of year. There was a bitterly cold wind when we played making some holes very tough. Would return to play in summer months when trees would be in play more , certainly worth trying.(Round played: Mar 2018 - Score: 81 Handicap: 6.1)

Playable even in poor conditions
I was due to play higher in the lakes but the game had to be abandoned because of the rain. Grange was open so able to get a spot and play there. Despite the conditions, closing roads and floods the greens were very playable and the fairways were reasonable with the occasional wet spot. Amazing that could play at all so well done for staying open and still delivering an enjoyable round of golf.Reviewer Rating

society visit recommended
our small society visited on 220917 and were met by very friendly staff both in pro shop and clubhouse, we were offered a fantastic deal for our day, and the pro also did a great trade in for a new putter at a really good price. the course although wet was in wonderfull condition, and the course had some really challenging holes, without it being a hard walk. we had food after in the clubhouse and it was first class, and again the members could not have been more friendly arranging the seating so we could all sit together. if you are looking for a venue for your society you would struggle to find a better, more friendly and really well priced golf venue than this, thank you to all at Grange.
