What the club says: On 230 acres of rolling Essex parkland to the north of Gosfield Lake, where once the court of Queen Elizabeth I took the air, golfers now enjoy peace and tranquillity away from the bustle of modern life. In this idyllic setting the Course winds around and over the lakes, through woods and across streams in some of the most beautiful countryside in England.
The Lakes Championship Course here at Gosfield has the potential to become the finest inland test of golf in England" so said Sir Henry Cotton. Sir Henry was responsible for masterminding the design of the 6,700 yard Lakes Course and the less demanding 9 hole Meadows course in association with Golf Architect, Howard Swan. Sir Henry is remembered by giving his name to his own particular favourite hole at Gosfield, the 14th "Cotton's Choice".

Perhaps the perfect golf club
4th time playing this Sir Henry Cotton designed course in glorious Essex countryside.Lucky enough to enjoy it in fabulous early-April sunshine.

First time at Gosfield, and will relish another go. Not really knowing the flow, of the course, and the hazards that lurk around blind corners, and hills. I like the flow to this course, with a few ups and downs and strategically placed greens behind bunkers or lakes. I would say acurracy helps on this lovely course.

Love this course. Brilliant to play in the summer. The nineteenth hole is a great place to sit with a cold beer with your friends.

Yearly Outing at the Wonderful Gosfield Lakes
Always a beautiful part of the countryside, Gosfield is a very special place to be.The course is in great nick and very playable. Today it was very windy which made it very challenging at times. The food was great if a little slow in service but very friendly overall.
It's a shame we live so far away otherwise it would be on the agenda far more often

A absolute stunner... all round special
Group of seven guys varying hcaps. Slightly blower but warm round of golf with minimum delay and fuss. Lovely clubhouse great food and service.The course and scenery were stunning. Very special place

Excellent condition parkland with open fairways so not too tight and options for a lose shot , challenging without being to harsh .wholes have well place hazards for the careless golfer. Service and welcome excellent at the club, great choice of beer to enjoy on the 19th terrace

Jubilee Golf BBAD
