What the club says: Forres Golf Club celebrated its centenary year in 1989. The original 9 holes were designed by James Braid and in 1912 Willie Park was enlisted to extend the layout to 18 holes. The course, which has hosted the Scottish Professional Championship, is remembered mostly for its spectacular views of surrounding countryside, its tree lined fairways and the infamous 16th hole, aptly named The Pond, which provides a watery grave for many stray golf balls.

Had an outing here 23/7/21 travelled up from Aberdeen about an hour and half fantastic day out helped by Sean and his team warm friendly welcome course was in superb condition with some of the best greens I have putted on in a long time great course that tests all abilities with some stunning scenery the 1 st hole a great opening risk reward hole
Food was very good big portions and tasty staff couldn’t do enough for us, would highly recommend anyone or outing to play here you won’t be disappointed, it’s already in my diary to play again soon

Hidden Gem!
Cracking golf course a short drive from Inverness Airport, played in May 2021 was fantastic condition and quite easily the best greens I have putted on for sometime. Helpfully friendly pro shop stocking some nice golf gear at competitive prices would thoroughly recommend a day out here for only ?30 green fee mon - Friday, can't wait to go back again!Reviewer Rating

Fantastic course worth visiting staff are friendly and the golf course is greatcondition considering the heat wave we have had in the highlands

Lovely gem of a course set in beautfull settings. Holes provide a good test and greens are excellent. Great value for money.
