Friendly members, helpful staff.
Played Erskine Club on Saturday 6th October on a stunning day. Was pleased when a club member asked to play along side for a few holes. I was glad of the knowledge and company. Having a club member helped get a lay of the land. Course management is key to playing an unknown course. The course was a great little treasure on the side of the river. Stunning views around the course. Greens were recently cored in prep for winter so caused a few trials at putting. Probably added a good 4-6 additional shots onto my score ????.I would definitely welcome playing here again. 1-17 are great, I was disappointed with the final home and the colossal climb up the hill to the green. However, don't let this ruin your day as everything else on the course more than makes up for the final hole. The Ocean Bar gave me a chuckle, or rather, a shelter.
The member who joined me left me around the 9th hole and a few holes later I was asked by a new member and his brother to join them too.
I've never felt more at home on a course I've never played.
Please please do try to get along and give this wee treasure a play.
I did not get to experience any of the facilities in the clubhouse. Only the pro shop.

Excellent course and club house
This course runs down by the banks of the Clyde next door to the more expensive Marr Hall.I have now played both and I would suggest that Erskine is able to match Marr Hall.
The course was immaculate when I visited , some very interesting holes, a couple of dog legs and some noce par 5s. Views over the Clyde are stunning , clubhouse and food perfect with a very welcoming Pro and friendly and helpful staff.

Glorious setting, really nice course
......................................................... would definitely play again. Bit damp and might generally be better in summer than winter, but in good condition.

Well worth a visit. I'll be back
In my quest to play course MacKenzie has had a hand in I found myself in Glasgow with nothing to do that evening. What a lovely evening at Erskine GC! The course condition and views were outstanding. I was joined by one of the members who had turned up for a evening round. The welcome was warm and the company excellent. Speed of play was excellent playing not far off millionaire's for most of the round. The course is a challenge despite being reasonably short by today's standards. Putting the ball in the right place and having a good back nine into the wind are key. A hidden gem to play for anyone up in the Glasgow area.Reviewer Rating

Great Course. Even with a huge amount of rain the condition is fantastic right now and has been throughout winter. Greens are on but fairways are off which is understandable.

Played in very warm and sunny weather. The greens are very nice, not that fast but true. The course is in great condition and well looked after. Not the longest course but challenging as you need to be in right places to shoot low. Great location with wonderful views of the Clyde.
