What the club says: At 6,008 yards, Doncaster Town Moor is a relatively short course. Golfers should not be put off by the yardage on this par 69 however as this course still provides a solid test for all golfers, with the par 3 thirteenth being the signature hole on the course. The course offers a number of demanding holes with a blend of well manicured tight and wide fairways and some tough greens to contend with.

Good considering the rain we've had
Course has handled the rain really well considering. 2 greens very spongy and a green still sporting last years biblical rain scar. But other than that you would struggle to find a course as good for the price. Karl and his assistant always welcoming and pleasant. Bar area fantastic warm and friendly and that's the members and bar staff.Reviewer Rating

Course was lovely members not so much
The course played well but it was obvious the members both on the course and in the bar did not like guests playing. Was made to feel very unwelcome and probably not play again now.Reviewer Rating

Lovely condition, bargain price
We played this on a hot September afternoon and at 18 quid, what a bargain. A pound a hole, who can argue that this is not cheap golf. We play this course often as it is the closest one for me and other than the tedious walk to the first tee, this course can be really nice. Its a very easy course for a decent player, with a couple of challenging holes in 9 (into wind), 10 and 12 (which is the hardest in my mind). Tee boxes were good, fairways quite lush and the greens although slow were in very good nick. If you want a pretty quick round, somewhere that is really good value for the quality, then this is a great option. It is definitely improved on years gone by and now I would say its probably amongst the best value golf in Doncaster at ?18.Reviewer Rating

Unusual but very good golf course
This course is entirely within the confines of Doncaster Racecourse, so unusual in that respect but it is an excellent course to play and extraordinarily quiet given it's in the heart of Doncaster. Very good greens and a well kept course made it a delight to play at a very reasonable fee for an afternoon round of golf.Reviewer Rating

“A MUST PLAY”
This is a MUST PLAY course if you’re in the area. Yes I am a member but this is a truly unbiased review. Before your round you’re guaranteed a friendly welcome in the well stocked Pro shop, a real Aladdin’s cave of quality new AND used equipment. I really enjoy the course layout and the fact you have to plot your way around this golf course, it’s not just a case of pulling the driver out and aiming for the horizon, but if you are feeling brave you will be rewarded for length and accuracy from the tee. Played on 7/8/23 after torrential rain during the weekend and can honestly say the course was in exceptional condition, greens and aprons in particular - a lot of credit has to go to the greens staff for this. Bar / catering offer is also first class after your round. Never had a bad meal or pint yet. Club Pro an all round nice guy and very knowledgable, couple this with the fact you can play 6, YES 6 other courses if you’re a member and it really is fantastic value for money. If your local and contemplating joining a club - do it, you certainly won’t be disappointed !!!!!Reviewer Rating

Great Winter Course
With all 18 greens in play, and the course well drained, this was an excellent winter course. The bunkers were well designed and the par 3's were all excellent especially the 7th and 17th. When the Spring comes will play again as the trees, when in bloom, will no doubt make the visuals off the tee much tighterReviewer Rating

Top Course, Top ownership
Had a mishap in the carpark, didn't pack my battery. Spoke to the pro and he did us a deal on a buggy. Got on course, and considering the rain we've had and the time of the year the course was very good. A true challenge, and looking very well.Club house after was very good value. And very welcoming.

Surprising Test Of Golf
Located in the heart of Doncaster Racecourse giving the impression that it would be flat and pretty bland, however certainly not the case. A fairly forgiving stating few holes even off the back tees, but then the course certainly tightens up and increases in difficulty with some tight holes and tricky dog legs on the back 9. Not overly long and presented well with decent greens, not overly quick but very true. The strong side wind is difficult to contend with with quite a few narrow tee shots where you don't feel the breeze until you see you ball go sideways once it's airborne above the tree lines. Very good value for money, it's not going to make your personal top 10, but a pleasant reasonable cheap knock. Despite the ?clubhouse? being across the road a long way from the course, the food was a decent standard and the service was excellent, 1st class.Reviewer Rating
